Basic Welsh Skills – how to prepare for interview
CCW has a bilingual policy and we encourage
our staff to develop their Welsh skills, both speaking and writing.
As a public organisation, all our staff need to be able to
pronounce Welsh correctly and to use basic greetings and phrases in
Welsh when dealing with the public.
The following is a selection of Welsh place names and phrases
that will be used to test the pronunciation skills of applicants at
interview. The place names may vary, but the basic phrases will be
taken from the list below.
You will be given a list during the interview and will be asked
to say selected names and phrases.
