CCW offers an excellent leave allowance made
up of leave and public holidays.
If you work full-time you get 36 days leave a year on joining
CCW, including public holidays. After 5 years this rises to 41
days. Part-time workers get leave in proportion to the hours they
work. You can take leave in one hour ‘chunks’ if you wish.
- Maternity leave/pay – You will get the full
statutory entitlement (52 weeks maternity leave and 39 weeks
statutory maternity pay if eligible). After one year’s service you
get full pay for the first 19 weeks of maternity leave.
- Paternity leave/pay – Eligible staff are
entitled to up to two weeks Statutory Paternity Leave and Pay.
After one years service you will receive full pay.
- Adoption leave/pay – This mirrors maternity
and paternity leave and pay.
- Parental leave – You are entitled to a total
of 13 weeks leave without pay (18 weeks if your child is disabled)
for each child (born or adopted). You may take this at any time
before your child is six (18 if disabled). You can only take four
weeks parental leave in any one year.
- Sick leave/pay – sick leave is paid at
full pay for up to 6 months in any 12, followed by half
