Pilot project tests ways to breathe new life into Newboroughs sand dune system
Newborough Warren is one of Wales’ finest sand dune systems. But after years of becoming over-stabilized and overgrown by vegetation, with some rare plants and insects driven to the brink of extinction, a pilot project is now testing ways to rejuvenate the sand dunes.

The second of February every year is World Wetlands Day. Over 2,000 wetlands around the world have been designated as Ramsar sites to mark their international importance for wetland wildlife.
