Young Reporters for the Environment celebrates
the work of talented young people who express a passion for
protecting our planet.

Wales Overall Winner - 'Biodiversity or not Biodiversity that is the question' Glyncoed Comprehensive School, Blaenau Gwent
Wales Runner-Up and winner of the International Biodiversity Award (joint with Canada) - Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd, Maesteg, Bridgend
Wales Runner-Up and winner of the International Coastline Award - Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle, Penygroes, Gwynedd
The programme is run in 23 countries throughout the world.
In Wales, the scheme is managed by Keep Wales Tidy and funded by
Countryside Council for Wales.
Secondary school pupils investigate a local environmental issue,
produce a journalistic report or photograph and then report on
their findings.
