Countryside Council for Wales’ (CCW) Strategic Equality Plan (SEP)

The Equality Act 2010 (Statutory Duties) (Wales) Regulations 2011 require CCW to publish a Strategic Equality Plan (SEP) by 2 April 2012.

Our plan brings together and builds on the activities we have been undertaking over the past 4 years as set out in our previously published Equality Scheme and Action Plan which covered both our equalities and social justice work.

Specifically, this SEP sets out clearly what our strategic equality objectives are and how we aim to achieve them. It also describes how we monitor what we do and its impact and reports on how we have changed and adapted our approaches to take account of the Wales Equality Regulations.

We believe that this plan as presented fully meets the requirements of the regulations and will ensure that CCW maintains and continuously improves it efforts in this area, fulfilling the general equality duty laid on it, and going beyond it wherever possible.
