Visualising our changing landscape
We hear all the time about climate change
and the impact it will have on our future. But it’s difficult
to imagine what the actual effects on our landscape will
be. What will the landscape look like and how will
changes to the landscape affect our lives?

Visualising our changing landscape
Using the latest in computer technology, we can create
photo-realistic models of how things might look in the future –
allowing us to see the potential impact in ways that are easy to
understand. This technology allows us to illustrate a range of
scenarios: something difficult to do even just a few years ago.
We can create a variety of landscapes and scenarios to picture
climate and man-made changes - filled with elements and objects we
recognise from the real world and based on accurate data about our
landscape from data sources such as aerial photography or the
Ordnance Survey.

Improved grassland:
This view shows a typical grassy field as it might be seen today.

Pond:
As a result of a warming climate, a pond has been created in order
to provide an on-site water source for crop irrigation
