It is very important that you have several
easy options to find specific information, as you require it. The
ability to search online is key web ability and we’ve attempted to
cover every conceivable route to help you dig out the information
you’re looking for…
There are many different search methods you can try when looking
for information on the website:
Search engine - you can use the main search box, located to the top
and right of your screen, to hunt for information within the entire
site. Simply type in the relevant words and click 'search'.
You will then see a ‘general’ list of links to relevant pages, as
well as several other tabs that ‘chunk up’ your search query to
help you find what you’re looking for. These tabs include:
- Your search results against the site A-Z
- Related sites that might be of use
- Links to our interactive maps, where relevant
- Any related CCW corporate information
- Relevant CCW publications
Additionally, you can search each chapter individually, as a
means to narrow your search in the first instance. The chapter
search box is located on the right of your screen.
Notice the ‘advanced search’ option available here also. This
allows you to search in a very specific manner. For example, you
can search for information on specific areas of the website, or
specific microsites, within certain dates.
Publications search engine – we thought it’d be helpful to create a
separate search engine solely for our CCW publications.
The advanced publications search allows you to search for
specific document and file types, by subject, or author. As our
publication collection grows, this will allow you to pluck-out the
specific document you’re looking for.
