What we do
Imagine a world where everybody cares for
and values the environment. That's what CCW works towards
achieving here in Wales. At CCW we want to see the land and
sea used in a sustainable way for the benefit of both our wildlife
and our people.
We aim to influence the development and action of policies and
practises that help to:
- conserve and protect wildlife habitats and species, landscapes,
seascapes and cultural assets
- make it easier for people to access the countryside and
coast in a responsible way
- improve understanding of the wider countryside and coast
- provide quality jobs and a viable return to those involved in
land and sea use management
- maintain and support vibrant rural communities
- assist in tackling the problems posed by climate change
CCW advises the National Assembly on many issues to do with the
use and management of land and sea and we are represented on a wide
range of land and sea management groups.
