PDFA Geomorphological Survey of Welsh Dune Systems to Determine Best Methods of Dune Rejuvenation-CCW Science Report No 1002 (11 MB) - 11/01/2013

Some dune fields have become completely stabilized by vegetation and in many others the proportion of bare sand has fallen below 5%. This trend has given rise to international concerns about the impacts on biodiversity. Against this background, this study has been carried out with funding from the Welsh Government to identify ways in which the pattern of decline might be reversed through a programme of dune rejuvenation.
